Ayọ describes her sons name in an interview [1] as follows: Nile means the river Nile and symbolizes the life for her, Nesta is a reference to Bob Marley and means ambassador and Abiola is the Yorubian word for chance. Ayọ explains: “In Nigeria it is said that the name which was given to you will guide you in every step of your life and you will become in your life what is expressed by your name¹. [2] [3]

Nile likes singing, Ayọ says, he has been singing even before he could speak! [4]
